Easy English Rewriter — Chrome extension

Last updated: 2026-05-31

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Easy English Rewriter browser extension (the "Extension"), provided by Yuta Kimura, NEXASPARK ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

1. The service

The Extension rewrites English text that you select on a web page into simpler English using Chrome's built-in, on-device AI. It can optionally read the result aloud and translate it using features built into your browser. All processing happens locally on your device.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. The source code is available under the MIT License; these Terms govern your use of the distributed Extension.

3. Acceptable use

4. AI-generated content

The Extension produces output using an automated AI model. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and may change the meaning of the original text. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it. Do not use the Extension as a sole source for decisions where accuracy is important (for example, legal, medical, financial, safety, or contractual matters).

5. Privacy

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or the text you process; all processing is performed on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Third-party dependencies

The Extension depends on features provided by Google Chrome (including its built-in AI and Translator). We do not control those features, and their availability, behavior, system requirements, and any associated downloads are governed by Google.

7. No warranty

8. Limitation of liability

9. Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time, and may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 4, 7, 8, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Japan.
